#MapJamming in the ATL

Atlanta has a growing community of those who are sharing their resources and skills and living collaboratively. Yet much of Atlanta’s sharing economy remains invisible to all but a relatively small group of people. The purpose of a MapJam is to bring folks together to identify the people and places that make up our local commons/sharing economy. Atlanta’s commons includes community gardens, food swaps, artist collectives, bike and car sharing, skillshares, collective housing, maker and hackerspaces, and much, much more. This Jam will be a fun, informal gathering at Wonky Haus, a young intentional community/collective living house located in the Old Fourth Ward. If you know of people and places that should be on a ‘sharing map’ of Atlanta, please drop by and help out. You’re invited even if you can’t immediately think of anything to put on the map, but are inspired by the concept and would like to learn more. To get in the spirit of sharing, please consider bringing a beverage and/or snack to share. Together, we’ll be contributing to a resource that can be used by Atlantans for a number of purposes: -To enable people to discover and access Atlanta’s sharing economy -To inspire to start sharing in their daily lives and their parts of the city -To connect people and places interested in sharing for greater collaboration -To unearth and explore completely new ideas together -To celebrate Atlanta’s sharing economy while uncovering opportunities for growth Wonky Haus is located at 549 Angier Ave NE between Boulevard and Glen Iris. On-street parking is available near the house. We're also about one mile from the Atlanta Civic Center stations and on the 16 and 19 bus lines.
