From Monday October 13th to Sunday, the 27th, the Sharing Cities network is organizing a worldwide MapJam. During these two weeks, in cities all over the world, groups of people will gather in order to create city maps showing the existing initiatives in the field of collaborative/sharing economy, as well as the city commons. You can find more information about this event and the Sharing Cities network here: http://mapjam2014-shareable.nationbuilder.com/about
A lot of very interesting projects have emerged in Krakow lately, and such a map could give them more visibility, and open the way for more cooperation and new partnerships. So let’s map the new economy of Krakow together!
Collectives, cooperatives, hacker spaces, coworking spaces, FabLabs, cohousing projects, etc., should all have a place on this map, so that it would be great to have around the table people involved in such projects, and who could share their experiences and vision of the collaborative economy in Krakow.
If you are part of such an initiative, or simply interested in the topic of the sharing economy, please feel invited.
All we need is a bunch of people, a few laptops, and why not some music and finger foods to help keep the mood high during these few hours of collaborative research and mapping.
Before we meet next Wednesday at 6 P.M., you can already list on this page the initiatives you know of in Krakow, as well as pass on the message to people who might be interested in joining us!
The event will take place in Ambasada Krakowian, which for sure should also have its rightful place on the map.
See you there!
