Join us for the first ever #MapJam here in the San Luis Valley!! What's a #MapJam? A Map Jam is an easy to organize event where a small, dedicated group of people get together for a few hours to map as many shared resources, cooperatives and sharing services in their city or town as possible. Like a musical jam, it should be fun, social, and jammers should find a groove as they work.
How will this work? We'll all meet up and start by listing off all the sharing resources we have here in the SLV. Some things that immediately come to mind are the community gardens, Crestone freebox, and the Food Bank. I know there are more that we can come up with together! Once we have our list made we will add the items listed to an interactive online map that we can share with local resources.
Bring yourselves and your laptop, if you have one, and any ideas you have for other sharing resources around the Valley. Note that this is a living, breathing document that will continue to grow and evolve over time.
