Sharing SLO WikiJam

San Luis Obispo has a thriving sharing economy, full of maker spaces, DIY projects, bike kitchens, food pantries, health clinics, CSA projects, farmers' markets, charitable safety nets, community resilience preparedness, volunteer opportunities, local currency projects, commons & public spaces, life-long educational opportunities, religious congregations, permaculture enthusiasts, free events, libraries, and more.

At this event, we'll help these groups and projects to find each other, and help us to find them, by fleshing out their information at the "Sharing SLO" section of WikiSLO By doing so, we'll make the local sharing economy more visible and more interconnected, helping it grow and thrive.

Bring a laptop or other portable computing device if you have one. Bring more than one if you've got an extra you can share.

We'll give you a brief orientation to the project and some instructions on how to edit pages at the WikiSLO site and then we'll work together to improve this directory of Sharing SLO.

This event begins at 5pm on Wednesday, October 15th, and will be held at the SLO public library conference room, 995 Palm St. in downtown SLO.

Edit: as it turns out, the SLO branch of the library does not have Chromebooks available for rent. Please bring your own portable computing device if you can. There are desktop computers available in the library, but we won’t have them reserved, so they may be occupied by the time we get started.
